keep your liver healthy

The liver is an important organ in the body that performs a variety of essential functions, from producing proteins, cholesterol, and bile to storing vitamins, minerals, and even carbohydrates.

It also breaks down toxins such as alcohol, drugs and natural by-products of metabolism. Keeping the liver in good condition is essential for maintaining good health. Having an unhealthy liver can lead to liver disease and metabolic disorders.  Type 2 diabetes is the most common cause of liver disease. This article lists the things you need to do to keep your liver healthy –

  • Drink Coffee:

Coffee appears to be good for the liver, especially as it protects against diseases such as fatty liver.  Various reviews have noted that daily coffee consumption helps reduce the risk of chronic liver disease.  It can also protect against liver-damaging conditions such as liver cancer.  Coffee also increases protective antioxidants in the liver.

  • Practice healthy diet:

Eating a balanced diet is essential but avoid foods high in calories, saturated fat, refined carbohydrates (such as white bread, white rice and regular pasta) and sugar.  For a balanced diet, eat fibre-rich foods such as fresh fruits, vegetables, whole-grain breads, rice and cereals.  Also eat meat (but no red meat), dairy (low-fat milk and a small amount of cheese) and monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats such as vegetable oils, nuts, seeds and fish.  Maintaining water balance in the body is very important, so drink plenty of water. A balanced diet is the best way to help you maintain a good weight and reduce your chances of diseases like fatty liver.

  • Exercise regularly and avoid toxins:

It helps keep your BMI at the right level, which can protect against diseases like fatty liver.  But even if your BMI doesn’t change, exercise can help. When you exercise regularly, it helps burn triglycerides and also reduces fatty liver.

Toxins can damage liver cells.  Limit direct contact with toxic substances from aerosol products, pesticides, chemical additives.  When you use the aerosol, make sure the room is ventilated.

  • Practice moderate drinking habit:

When you drink, your liver does other things so it can break down the alcohol and remove it from your blood, reducing the amount of alcohol.  If you overdo it, it can take a toll on the liver regardless of whether it is male or female.  Over time, this often leads to early signs of diseases such as fatty liver. It can damage your liver and even increase bad bacteria in your intestine.

  • Practice safe sex:

Do you want to protect yourself and your partner from such situations that can spread through sex? Do you know that many of the end can damage your lever? Hepatitis C can directly infect and can harm the fatal damage over time. Most people do not notice that they have it. Many years later realized a lot of damage was done. You can check whether you have it with the doctor.

  • Wash hands regularly:

This is a simple way to protect your liver from getting infected.  Just use a little soap and water. It is very important to follow hygiene such as washing your hands after leaving the bathroom. Chronic diseases especially hepatitis can be spread by touching food or water with contaminated hands.
