DIET CHART FOR DIABETES  

EARLY – MORNING

One Glass of Water +1 tsp Fenugreek Seeds / Amla Powder

OR

Copper Pot Water – 1 Glass + 5 Mint leaves + 5 Tulsi leaves

BREAKFAST

Veg Upma (Veg Salmolina) / Broken Wheat Porridge / Veg idli / Veg Vermicelli / Besan Pancake (Gram Flour) / Missi Roti / Veg Oats / Chapatti with Veg or Dal + Egg White

MID – MORNING

Fruits / Salad / Coconut Water / Sprouts

LUNCH

Plain Chapatti / Missi Chapatti / Vegetables + Dal + Salad / Fish / Chicken (Occasionally)

Fenugreek Seeds powder – 10 gm (15 min before meal with Buttermilk)

EVENING

Roasted Chane / Homemade Soup / Herbal Tea

DINNER

Salad / Nutri-nuggets / Plain Chapatti / Missi chapatti / Dal + Vegetables

BED – TIME

LIFESTYLE AND DIETARY TIPS

  • Seasonal fruits and vegetables should be consumed.
  • Do not eat heavy meals.
  • Eating too many Carbohydrates foods can lead to high blood glucose level.
  • Walk for at least 30 – 45 min is recommended.
  • Whole fruit should be preferred to fruit juice.
  • Drink plenty of water at least 8 – 10 glass.
  • Avoid eating spicy and junk food.
  • Take well balanced diet.
  • Skipping meals should be avoided.
  • 5 Almonds and 1 Walnut (soak in water overnight).
